Privacy Policy

Floodlights is a personal logbook for the live cricket matches you attend. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We keep the data we hold to the minimum the app needs to work.

1. Who we are

Floodlights ("we", "us") is an independent app operated by Mizan Ali. For any privacy question, contact mizanalip786@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information

• Email address — used to create and sign in to your account. We support Google sign-in and email one-time codes only; we never store a password.
• Username and display name — chosen by you and shown on your public profile.
• Avatar image — optional, if you upload one.

Content you create

• Match logs — the matches you record: the teams, competition, format, stadium, and date you select from our catalog.
• Social connections — the accounts you follow and who follows you.

Technical information

• Basic, standard server logs (such as request timestamps) generated by our hosting providers to operate and secure the service. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

3. How we use your information

• To create your account and authenticate you.
• To store your match logs and compute your stats, map, and profile.
• To power social features — search, profiles, follows, and the friends activity feed.
• To respond to your support requests.

4. What's public

Floodlights has no private accounts. Your username, display name, avatar, match logs, stats, and follower/following lists are visible to other signed-in users of the app. Your email address is never shown to other users. Please don't log anything in a match note that you wouldn't want other users to see.

5. Service providers

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. We use a small set of processors purely to run the app:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage of your avatar image.
• Cloudflare — hosting for our API.
• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in, to verify your identity.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, match logs, follows, and uploaded avatar from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

7. Children

Floodlights is rated for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Your rights

You can access and update your profile in the app, and delete all of your data via account deletion. For any other request regarding your data, email mizanalip786@gmail.com and we'll help.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
